Image quality decides most extraction results. Ask users to photograph the card flat, in good light and without glare, and reject blurred images before you send them. Older voter ID cards vary widely in layout, so show the fields the voter ID OCR API extracts back to the user to confirm, and verify the EPIC number against electoral records before you rely on the voter ID OCR API output for KYC.
Test a range of real-world photos in the sandbox, including older card designs and photos taken at an angle, so you know how your flow behaves before customers see it.
