It runs entirely on the image supplied, with no call to any transport authority endpoint, and is built to sit upstream of a Veriqos Driving Licence Verification endpoint for teams that also need to confirm the license is valid.
Each extracted field is returned with the OCR engine's confidence, so low-confidence reads can be routed for manual review.
Issue and validity dates are parsed and returned in a consistent format, including separate validity for non-transport and transport vehicle classes where printed.
